Cortez 12CSA sea reel from Okuma

The Cortez High Gear withstands everything in its path, and the high ratio of 6.2:1 allows effective fishing in Norwegian waters for species such as halibut, cod, ling, pollock and flounder. Cortez is compactly built and makes the reel slim while retaining the line capacity required for all-round fishing. Snellen’s carbon brake discs provide smooth braking across the whole register, and with oversized drives you have enough power to tow in the big ones. The reel also has a waterproof MCS magnetic casting brake. The brake screw and crank handle provide good grip. Also used as a trolling reel.
