Product description
The beautifully designed Sedona FI is the lowest priced spinning reel of Shimano that features Shimano’s HAGANE Gearing.
The beautifully designed Sedona is the lowest priced spinning reel to incorporate HAGANE Gear technology. This provides long-lasting smoothness, power and durability, even after countless battles with your target species.
With its excellent price point, and trusted Shimano’s engineering, Sedona is a great choice if you are looking for a combination of affordability and technology. You’ll certainly appreciate the power and smoothness of the HAGANE Gear, which will maintain its performance considerably longer than similar priced rival reels. And in use the G Free Body produces a better balance in the hand, which results in less fatigue and more enjoyment, especially for younger anglers.
The Sedona series includes models for everything from light freshwater to heavier offshore species, thanks to improved drag power and increased gear ratios. The 8000 model incorporates Shimano’s tougher Cross Carbon Drag to cope with the larger, more powerful species.
To maximise casting distance and improve line management, the Sedona uses Shimano’s Varispeed II line lay system, which prevents line bedding in on the spool. Combined with this is an aluminium AR-C spool that minimises line friction during the cast. And just when you thought things couldn’t get better, Sedona also features an aluminium handle for strength and lightness. Proof that even though Sedona is very affordable, no corners have been cut in its design and construction.
