Sail is a Chinese manufacturer and has been producing outboard motors since 2003. This motor is modeled after the very trusted Tohatsu motor.Tohatsu produces motors for Mercury and Suzuki. Short shaft (long shaft can be specially ordered). See spec sheet. Sail manufactures 50.000 motors per year. All motors are water tested before they are sent out of the factory.

NOTE. WE RECOMMEND FLUSHING THE MOTOR WITH FRESH WATER AFTER SALTWATER SAILING. LET THE WATER PUMP RUN FOR AT LEAST 4-5 MIN

Included with this 9,9 hp motor are a 12liter fuel tank, hose with pump, extra spark plugs, washers, spark plug key and pliers.

Repair and warranty service for Sail motors is in cooperation with MarineTek ehf. and all repairs are handled by Heimir Sigurður Haraldsson. Heimir is á licenced engineer and also has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. He has offered technical services for outboard motors, boats and inboard motors since 2005.
